A new update for Tekken 8, version 2.05.00, is now live with a handful of QoL and balance changes
This update mainly targets bug fixes and quality-of-life enhancements, rather than major balance adjustments. The key changes involve character movement behavior, primarily addressing hitbox and collision detection issues to avoid unintended interactions, like attacks hitting opponents that are behind a character.
Key Update Details:
- Replay Data: All online replays and ghost data created before the update have been deleted. Downloaded replays are no longer playable. Ghost data will be updated to reflect character changes.
- Tekken Shop: The Devil Jin Costume 01 Set has been added. A "TEKKEN SPECIAL DEAL" event is also active, offering select items at a discount.
- Play Data: A new "Character Win Rate" feature has been added for Ranked Match, allowing players to review their win rate against each character. The display for certain data has been adjusted to prioritize characters with match history.
- Character Adjustments: Numerous characters received specific fixes to their moves. The changes are largely technical, aimed at resolving issues where attacks would whiff unexpectedly or hit in unintended ways. Affected characters include Alisa, Bryan, Hwoarang, Jin, King, Reina, Victor, Yoshimitsu, and Zafina, among others.
- Bug Fixes: Several issues were resolved, including a problem with the "Beach Fun Pack" that could cause character model distortion or game crashes with certain item combinations.
