Tekken 8 Modding Tools Hit Next Level
UMIN releases early version of their TKData Mod Editor

Tekken modder UMIN recently announced on X that they are working with a few other collaborators on Tekken data modding tool that should bring many changes to Tekken modding, and specifically modding of the character movesets.

Just yesterday this was followed up with the first release of their new tool, TKData Mod Editor, which you can find on GitHub.

To someone outside of the modding community, it's hard to grasp the full impact of this, but UMIN themselves have posted an interesting update shortly following the release of this tool.

They managed to port custom animation from Blender to Tekken 8

While it looks hilarious, this could have some pretty interesting impact on modding, as the moveset mods will no longer be limited by adjusting existing moves or porting ones from previous Tekken games.
