Tekken 8 Kicks Off Gamescom 2023 With New Trailer and Release Date

Gamescom 2023 kicked off today in Cologne! Europe's largest annual video game show reopens its doors with the Opening Night Live show hosted by Geoff Keighley.

Of course, today's stream couldn't do without the expected announcements for FGC fans. Among them is the world premiere of the Tekken 8 trailer, which reveals the story mode and release date of the fighting game.

New gameplay was introduced personally by Katsuhiro Harada. In a dynamic cut-up format, fans have finally received confirmation of several more returning fighters: Shaheen, Steve, Leo, Dragunov, Yoshimitsu, and Kuma, as well as the reveal of the Arcade Quest story mode, where players will compete against NPCs as customizable avatars participating in the King of Iron Fist Tournament.

Tekken 8 is launching on January 26th, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. You can pre-order the game for any platform starting today.
