If you haven't been keeping up Tekken, we've just had another Closed Beta Test, and you all probably know how little meaning the "closed" part of the CBT means when the beta is available on PC and doesn't have some extreme safeguards to keep it out of the wrong hands.
It happened to Street Fighter 6, and of course, it happened to Tekken 8, the beta was cracked. Well in advance, in fact, since the pre-download was available long before the CBT actually went live.
This brings us to today. The new patch for Tekken 8 CBT outright removes every file, leaving you with a nice and empty folder. While a solid effort, this is unlikely to have any impact, but perhaps it shows that Bandai Namco will be more cautious about the access and security of the beta versions in the future.
