Tekken 7 at Defend the North: Results

The past weekend marked the return of the annual Defend the North tournaments. The tournament series that is known for the most optimized competitive setups and some very respectable prize pools for all the main games!

While it's not a part of the TWT, we still saw some excellent competition with many character specialists and downright great players. The breakout star in all of this is, of course, Spero Gin.

Anyone who ever tried to learn Eddy would instantly recognize him as an absolute master of the character, and his run at Defend the North is concrete proof of that. All the way to the finals, nobody could topple him, leading to the amazing showdown between him and NeNe, an amazing Kazuya player. The two of them had 3 whole sets in this tournament.

While Spero Gin managed to topple him in their first fight, NeNe climbed out of the losers bracket and played better than ever, giving us a grand final reset. Despite both players being excellent in their own right, Spero Gin did a great job of adapting on the fly and finished his run with a solid 3-1 win.
