Two-time Capcom Cup winner, MenaRD has announced that there will be a team battle featuring two teams from Japan and the Dominican Republic respectively.
International players are currently in the DR for the latest Capcom Cup qualifier, Blink Respawn, which kicks off tomorrow. Mena made a post on X announcing the event and the makeup of both teams.
There had been a team battle earlier which was streamed on Twitch between the Japanese and DR team and team Japan took that one with a stunning victory by Kobayan over MenaRD.
MenaRD recently joined ZETA DIVISION on loan for the upcoming Street Fighter League Japan season and it's interesting to see that two of his teammates, Yamaguchi and Higuchi will be fighting against him.
Blink Respawn will kick off from the 5th of June 2026 and there’s a Capcom Cup spot for whoever wins the tournament.
