Game 6

The beginning of the second half of the season got underway with gameday 6 and here are the teams that played:

  • Belc FAV Gaming vs Crazy Raccoon
  • VARREL vs CAG Osaka
  • Hiroshima Team iXA vs Yogibo REJECT

Game 1: Belc FAV Gaming (Away) vs Crazy Raccoon (Home)

  • Sako (Akuma) 2 vs Shuto (Akuma) 1
  • TS (Ken) 2 vs Kazunoko (Cammy) 0
  • Ryukichi (Ken) 2 vs Bonchan (Akuma) 3
  • Ryukichi (Ken) 0 vs Bonchan (Akuma) 1

The defending champions of the SFL JP, FAV Gaming, have had a hard time of it so far this season with defeat after defeat and finding themselves bottom of the table. This can perhaps be attributed to them losing 50% of the team that helped them win the tournament last time around with Tokido going to REJECT and Bonchan joining Crazy Raccoon. With Ryukichi, a young prodigious talent, and TS, a new name on the scene, the team's make up is certainly different. Unfortunately, they were unable to find a win as they suffered defeat again at the hands of Crazy Raccoon. They remain bottom of the table, but will take some heart from not losing 40-0.

Final Scores

Belc FAV Gaming (20) vs Crazy Raccoon (25)

Game 2: VARREL (Away) vs CAG Osaka (Home)

  • Mizuha (Cammy) 2 vs Uryo (Jamie) 0
  • Moke (Chun li) 2 vs Fenrich (Blanka) 1
  • Mago (Juri) 3 vs Go1 (Chun li) 2

VARREL defeated CAG Osaka 40 to nothing with the home team suffering a dent to their playoff hopes. The team has done surprisingly well so far with Uryo's Jamie especially impressing, but against VARREL, one of the most stable teams in the entire league, they would falter. With the win, VARREL try to reach ever closer to the teams above them.

Final Scores

VARREL (40) vs CAG Osaka (0)

Game 3: Hiroshima Team iXA (Away) vs Yogibo REJECT (Home)

  • ACQUA (Blanka) 0 vs LeShar (Ed) 2
  • Hibiki (Lily) 2 vs YHC-Mochi (Dhalsim) 1
  • Hikaru (A.K.I.) 2 vs Akira (Cammy) 3

This top of the table clash did not disappoint as Team iXA continued impressing. With somewhat odd picks like Hibiki and Hikaru, iXA is one of the most exciting teams to watch due to their unorthodox characters and the specialization in those characters. On the other side though, REJECT are perhaps the strongest team with the decision to loan LeShar from DRX in Korea for the SFL proving to be a masterstroke. He has only lost one match so far which was in the reverse fixture where he lost to Hikaru, and so, with that in mind, the team made him go first and so he defeated ACQUA, and they left Akira to handle Hikaru which he was able to do really well.

Final Scores

Hiroshima Team iXA (10) vs Yogibo REJECT (30)
