Street Fighter 6: Tachikawa Leaves Burning Core
The Japanese veteran is leaving the team he came up with

All journeys that have a beginning must also come to an end, and so it is for Japanese pro player, Tachikawa, who announced that he is leaving his long-time team, Burning Core.

Tachikawa has been with Burning Core since 2019, making it a six-year relationship which is pretty long in the esports scene. Tachikawa leaves with the warmest wishes and some great memories.

Tachikawa has been a stalwart in Street Fighter League either acting as a player or a coach and has enjoyed great success with perhaps one of his biggest ones being his impressive run at the Esports World Cup 2024 where he finished in 3rd place.

A statement on the official Burning Core website read: Since Tachikawa joined Burning Core, he has been walking with the team for six years, building numerous achievements in the fighting game scene.

While continuing to challenge the tournament as the mainstay of the team, he is also responsible for his excellent analytical power and tactical eyes, and in addition to the player guidance of other teams, coaching professional player individuals such as "sometimes" players.

Not only as a player, but also as a leader, it has been highly appreciated.

In 2024, he won 3rd place at the Esports World Cup 2024 (6th division of Street Fighter) held in Saudi Arabia. I proved my strength on the world stage and confirmed my presence as a player representing Japan.

Based in the local Toyama, Burning Core Toyama is also committed to the development of regional esports with Otani, who is also a family member and classmate. Through distribution and event appearances, we have developed a wide range of activities beyond the framework of fighting games.

As a player, leader, and caller —— its existence has always been a new breeze for Burning Core Toyama, bringing a lot of inspiration and learning.

At this time, Tachikawa will end his contract with the team at the end of April 2025 and move on to new challenges.

Thank you very much.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you who have supported BCT Tachikawa.

Thank you for your continued support for Tachikawa.

Tachikawa himself had some words to say, stating, "I've been with the company since 2019 and have been under their care for about 6 years!

"My professional career was filled with so many memories! Thank you!"
