Street Fighter 6 Season 4 Begins With Yasmine & Major Balance Patch
Some big winners and losers in this patch

The latest Street Fighter 6 character, Yasmine, has been added to the game alongside all the features included in her launch patch.

Yasmine kicks off Season 4 for Street Fighter 6, arriving alongside the long-awaited balance update that Capcom promised.

The patch, which affects every character in the game, appears to have introduced several significant buffs and nerfs. Based on the reactions of top players, we can already get an early idea of who has benefited the most and who has been hit the hardest.

The overriding reaction, however, has been one of disappointment. Many players had hoped to see system-wide changes to the Drive System or the removal of throw loops, but neither made it into the update. Some players believe the game remains largely in the same state, with the top-tier characters retaining their positions while the lower tiers have seen little meaningful improvement.

Biggest Winners

The biggest winners from the patch appear to be Luke, Jamie, Marisa, Ryu, and, to a lesser extent, Sagat. The Muay Thai veteran was already considered one of the strongest characters in the game, and although he received nerfs, many players believe they were not significant enough to knock him out of the top five.

Biggest Losers

Mai was finally hit with nerfs, and the early consensus is that she remains a strong character, just no longer as overwhelming as before. JP also received significant nerfs, although opinions remain divided on how impactful they are. Depending on who you ask, the changes were either little more than a slap on the wrist or enough to dramatically reduce his viability.
