Street Fighter 6 Crosses 5 Million Sales Mark After Two Years
It has done it in half the time it took Street Fighter 5

Street Fighter 6 was released in 2023 to much fanfare. Fans and players alike were excited to play the game, which launched about eight years after Street Fighter V debuted in 2015.

Capcom released a statement on their official website celebrating the milestone.

While Street Fighter V eventually reached 5 million units sold, it took four years to achieve that milestone. In contrast, Street Fighter 6 has hit the same number in just half the time, suggesting strong momentum and the potential for even more sales in the coming years.

Street Fighter 6 introduced several new features, most notably, modern controls that allow players to execute special moves and even supers with just a few button presses.

The success of Street Fighter 6 has been attributed to several factors, including excellent accessibility features, high-quality netcode, outstanding character and stage design, and a strong focus on community engagement.

Street Fighter 6 is currently in its third season and is set to introduce new characters, including Sagat, C. Viper, Alex, and Ingrid.
