Street Fighter 6 and New Movie Trailer Set for Capcom's TGS Lineup
Hopefully there will be something to be excited about

Capcom has released its lineup for the Tokyo Game Show, taking place from September 17, 2026, and there will be some news around Street Fighter 6.

Tokyo Game Show, or TGS, is a gaming trade fair and convention where new information about games comes out. For Capcom, there will be some new stuff for SF6, along with new information about the upcoming Street Fighter movie.

Street Fighter 6 has continued to grow in popularity, but there has been some criticism around the game’s lack of cosmetic content and meta changes. There was a huge balance patch following the release of Yasmine, the latest DLC character for the game, and the consensus seemed to be that while there was change, the meta has more or less remained the same.

For the Street Fighter 6 announcement, there is hope that there might be more information regarding Arjun, the next character to come out in the game, and perhaps some new cosmetics for the game.

There has also been an announcement that there will be a new trailer for the Street Fighter movie, which is coming out in October. The announcement was a short teaser featuring Eric Andre announcing a match between Ken and Ryu. The trailer should probably be the last before the movie comes out, and perhaps we’ll see some footage that hasn’t been seen so far.

There is a lot of excitement regarding the movie, and the trailers so far have showcased it as a campy, fun time that will also benefit from updated technology to really capture some of the characters that the 1994 movie was unable to portray properly.
