Over 30 years later, people still find new things to say about Street Fighter II. After all, many of the newer fighting game fans weren't even born when SF2 was out, and its countless iterations were all over both the arcades and the home consoles.

To tell people about the game, its development, circumstances surrounding it, and how it became a worldwide phenomenon, is a goal of "Here Comes A New Challenger", the documentary film from Oliver Harper of Haper Film Productions. Among the guests, you will see many longtime members of the industry, like the legendary Ryan Hart, or Digital Foundry's John Linneman, who does an excellent job of breaking down the technical elements surrounding Street Fighter.

The physical copies are already out, but it will also be coming to streaming platforms later this year.
