MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Soul is still some ways away, with only the general 2026 stated as release date, but their Steam page accidentally revealed new details earlier this week before it was quickly reverted to its original state.
There isn't that much new info there, but we still have a few important takeaways here. The first one is that this 4v4 title will be launching with the base roster of 20 characters. It's better than 11, and generally hits the average for modern fighting game releases, but still comes off as a bit thin for a 4v4 game, which already drew a few negative impressions.
The second is that there will be some sort of narrative focused "Episode Mode" aimed at teaching players about the team dynamics and their lore. This might not be the actual story mode, but it seems to be the only real narrative component advertised on the Steam page.
The last takeaway is that the game will have Battle Hub style 64-player lobbies, and will require having a PSN account.
