SonicFox wins Marvel Tokon at CEO, Says Victory Was "out of spite"
With their win, they have every right to air their grievances against the game

Fighting game legend SonicFox has come out swinging following an astonishing win at CEO for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. The champion, who has been critical of the 4v4 fighter, said their victory was one achieved out of spite.

SonicFox has previously said that they consider Marvel Tokon an incredibly fun game, but also one that requires a lot of work. The majority of their criticism has been directed at the game's mechanics, which they feel are restrictive and follow a flow that can be a little strange to deal with.

Despite the criticism, SonicFox has clearly put the work into the game, as their results at CEO show.

Following the win, SonicFox took to social media to call out those who had sought to silence them over their criticism of the game.

"Also this win should definitely make people actually shut the f*** up and let me voice my opinions on the game LMAOO," SonicFox said.

"ACTUAL delusion to believe that I don’t like a game because I can’t be 'good' at it.

"This win was purely out of spite.

"I had fun, Tokon just needs some work."

Marvel Tokon has been plagued by several issues both before and after its launch, with availability concerns continuing to haunt the game. There have also been performance issues for PC players, which prompted an emergency patch aimed at making the game more playable. With such a prominent voice in the FGC speaking out, it remains to be seen whether Marvel Tokon will undergo yet another change as the game seeks to find its place within the competitive fighting game ecosystem.
