SNK Drops A Fatal Fury Music Video for Anime Day
Two of the best combine

To commemorate Japan’s Anime Day, SNK, the company behind The King of Fighters and Fatal Fury, has released a special Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves music video featuring renowned DJ and guest character Salvatore Ganacci alongside legendary animator Masami Obari.

The video recreates the iconic Terry Bogard vs. Geese Howard battle, where Geese famously falls from the top of a building after letting go of Terry’s outstretched hand. The scene is set to a pulsing house track produced by Salvatore Ganacci, whose energetic and eccentric musical style has made him a cult favorite.

Ganacci’s presence in the Fatal Fury universe has been one of the more surprising crossovers in recent fighting game history. While his initial reveal, alongside global football star Cristiano Ronaldo, sparked mixed reactions within the community, fans have gradually embraced him thanks to his playful personality and creative flair. His animated music video “Fight Dirty” even showcased him in a larger-than-life, action-packed setting, making this new collaboration a natural fit.

Masami Obari’s involvement adds even more weight to the project. A respected figure in anime and game design, Obari directed Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture, the series’ only animated film, and has contributed character designs to several SNK titles, including City of the Wolves.

Japan has celebrated Anime Day since 1975, honoring one of the nation’s most influential cultural exports. This collaboration between SNK, Ganacci, and Obari feels like a fitting tribute to that legacy, blending anime artistry, music, and fighting game history into one stylish package.
