SF6 Leads Evo 2026 Registration Numbers as Final Leaderboard Released
Rivals of Aether II has been a surprise package getting over 1000 entrants, although this has a lot to do with the efforts of Ludwig

Evo, the biggest fighting game tournament in the world, returns later this month and will take place from June 26th to 28th, 2026.

The tournament will feature 12 main-stage titles, including Vampire Savior, Capcom's classic fighting game. Ahead of the event, tournament organizers released what they described as the final registration leaderboard before competition begins.

Street Fighter 6 unsurprisingly sits at the top with 2,414 registrants, although that figure is significantly lower than Evo Japan earlier this year, which attracted more than 7,000 competitors. Tekken 8 follows in second place with 1,354 entrants, a strong showing for Bandai Namco's flagship fighter.

2XKO and Rivals of Aether II are the only other titles to surpass 1,000 entrants. For Rivals of Aether II, an indie platform fighter published by Offbrand Games, the company founded by content creator Ludwig, reaching that milestone is significant.

Invincible VS, the tag-team fighter based on the popular comic book and television franchise, will also make its Evo debut this year and has attracted 403 entrants. Meanwhile, Vampire Savior, one of the oldest games in the lineup, has registered 259 competitors.

This year's tournament will be the first Evo since the announcement that Saudi-backed company RTS has completed its acquisition of the event. As a result, there will be considerable attention on how the tournament is organized and received by the fighting game community.

Evo 2026 will take place in Las Vegas from June 26th to 28th.
