SEGA Registered New Trademarks, but no Virtua Fighter
Hopefully, VF is not dead

According to the X (formerly Twitter) post of the Japanese video game news account Gematsu, lots of classic SEGA games are getting their trademarks renewed.

At the Game Awards, SEGA announced the remakes and new games in the Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Golden Sun, Shinobi, and Streets of Rage series, while adding the words “and more.”

Turns out, “and more” are among the Altered Beast, Eternal Champions, Kid Chameleon, Alex Kidd, After Burner, House of the Dead, Outrun, and Super Monkey Ball series. Sadly, however, there’s no mention of Virtua Fighter of any kind. Let’s wait and see if the trademark registration will evolve into anything substantial.
