He has finally found a team
Martin Phan, better known around the fighting game community as Marn, has signed up with Saudi Arabian esports team, ROC Esports. ROC have been aggressively recruiting recently across several esports titles, and have gone for Marn for their Fatal Fury division, which means, Marn will compete in City Of The Wolves.
Marn is an Evo winner from 2010 where he won in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars. He is also strong across multiple titles with strong finishes in Street Fighter IV (1st In East Coast Throwdown 2009), Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (Top 8 Evo 2014), Guilty Gear XX (2nd at Evo 2009), and so much more.
Marn had since gone through some hard times, but things seem to be looking up again, and he is now part of a growing team with ROC and he was genuinely excited for the announcement stating that he cannot wait to practise and travel again.
At 37, Marn represents a new trend in which older representatives are being picked up by teams with Oil King, GamerBee, Poongko and now Marn, all being picked up by orgs ahead of the new fighting game competitive season.
