River City Saga: Journey to the West gets new trailer

Arc System Works America has released a new trailer for River City Saga: Journey to the West and opened the game’s store pages ahead of launch.

River City Saga: Journey to the West releases on June 4, 2026, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam. The game will be available for $19.99.

The new trailer highlights the game’s three playable fighting styles, centered on Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing. Each character offers a different approach, with Sun Wukong focused on speed, Zhu Bajie on power, and Sha Wujing on long-range attacks.

River City Saga: Journey to the West is a solo roguelike action game based on Journey to the West, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. Players grow stronger across repeated runs by collecting Secret Skills from gods that appear during stages. The game features 80 Secret Skills, giving players room to build around different stats and abilities.

Characters from the wider River City series will also appear during the journey, either helping the main group or appearing as bosses.
