RF Online Next gets first major update

Netmarble has released the first major update for RF Online Next, adding new warfare content, progression systems, and challenges.

The update is led by Mining War, a large-scale faction battle centered on control of the Holy Stone. Before each Mining War, top guilds compete in the Skirmish to represent their factions. Winning guilds then move into the Faction War, where three factions fight to destroy opposing Excavators and claim territory and resources.

Mining War also introduces Biosuit flight, opening new aerial routes during battle for infiltration, surprise attacks, and direct strikes on enemy Excavators. Victorious guilds can earn server marketplace tax control, Holy Stone mining rights, dedicated hunting areas, and other rewards.

The update also adds Outer Planet, a cross-server combat region, starting with Albern Crater. New progression content includes Expansion equipment, Epic-grade skills, the MAU Pantera, Launcher Basilisk, and the five-player Arcane Trials dungeon.
