If you're a fan of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, there is probably one arcade that's more familiar to you than any other. Game Newton has been around for roughly over 30 years at this point, and while it offers a wide selection of fighting games (on top of accommodating requests from visitors), it also became known as the host of 3rd Strike's Co-op Cup, which led to some of the most entertaining matches in the game's competitive history.

However, due to a recent renovation project in Oyama of Tokyo's Itabashi City, the arcade will have to move to a new location.

It's not clear where exactly it is moving, but supposedly operations should resume in January.

Game Newton previously faced some issues, especially when Covid made it very difficult for many arcade to continue working, but it seems to be in a far better state these days, so hopefully things will be fine at the new location.

In the meantime, many Japanese visitors were getting nostalgic about the history of this place and even coming in to help them pack things up.
