He leaves having won almost everything there is to win and will be picked up by someone in no time
Victor Woodley, better known by his gamertag Punk, will leave his current team, FlyQuest.
Punk, who signed with FlyQuest in August 2023, made the decision not to renew his contract with the North American esports organization. The split appears to be amicable, with FlyQuest releasing a video thanking Punk for all his achievements with the team, while Punk stated that he enjoyed his time with FlyQuest but would like to seek out new opportunities.
He said on his official X account:
"Was a great 3 Years accomplished a lot together with @FlyQuestFGC but I’m looking forward to bigger things in the future. Wish the best for FlyQuest and everything they do in the future"
Punk has been one of the most dominant players of the modern Street Fighter era, with a plethora of tournament wins, including Evo 2024 and Street Fighter League. He has been on the scene for a decade and has continued to win and place highly in tournaments. He has also carved out a space within streaming and has grown a sizable audience.
It will be exciting to see what he does next, as he will surely not lack for suitors and opportunities.
