Proper Rollback for Tekken 5 & 6 is More Likely Than You Think
Fans are at it once again.

While almost every other company is actively re-releasing their back catalogue of fighting games with modern netcode and other improvements, Bandai Namco has been so reluctant to spend money on Tekken remasters that most of us basically gave up.

Fortunately, there's still hope for playing older Tekken games with proper online, courtesy of Ren's Arkadyzja project.

Arkadyzja already allows you to enjoy rollback on some of the earliest titles, but of course it's the Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection and Tekken 6 Blood Retribution that fans are really waiting for.

While I'm no expert, a lot of these rollback efforts are built on top of existing emulators, so when it comes to more recent games that use less robust emulators (or simply ones where online component is not too fleshed out), things get quite a bit harder.

Still it seems like the games are close to being playable again.

If it looks rough in this clip, that's mostly due to extreme connection. Under good or just normal conditions, it's looking smooth as butter.

Now it seems like it's all a question of time, as well as enthusiasm from the audience when it comes to people coming together to play these older games.
