PlayStation Announces an Accessibility Controller, Project Leonardo
This customizable pad might open the magic world of fighting games (and gaming in general) to new players

Let’s remember the wise words of Tokido in this regard — “fighting game is something so great.” And it’s hard not to agree with the legend! As many people as possible should have a chance to play this miracle and enjoy being part of this community. It’s the first thought we at DashFight got after seeing the announcement of Project Leonardo.

Sure, this accessibility controller for PS5 is not only about our favorite genre. Gaming in general becomes available to many people with disabilities. We are just happy that PlayStation supports this trend (like their main competitor does with Xbox Adaptive Controller).

Wide customization options are an important feature of Project Leonardo. Even one look at this thing is enough to feel the level of flexibility. It will be possible to map buttons on the controller (with the option to program two functions for one button). There will be a few profiles available with different configurations.

Another interesting option is a combined use of two Project Leonardo controllers and one DualSense. It clearly expands the accessibility.

Project Leonardo is a codename, and more details on the PS5 accessibility controller might be known closer to the release of this device. We are excited about the opportunities this pad brings into the community, so we’ll inform you guys of the progress with it.
