PlayStation 5 Achieved 50 Million Units Sold

Today Sony Interactive Entertaiment revealed, that their current flagship gaming console, PlayStation 5, has surpassed 50 million units in sales worldwide. With multiple successful exclusive video game releases since it's launch, the power of modern generation technologies and accessibility, it's no wonder PlayStation 5 achieved such a huge milestone. 

PlayStation 5 launched in November 2020 and remained the most popular current gen console ever since. PlayStation 2 remains the best-selling video game console of all time with almost 160 million units sold, but PlayStation 5 has all the chances to surpass its glorious predecessor in the upcoming years, considering the amount of big next gen videogame releases, including highly anticipated Tekken 8.
