Onimusha: Way of the Sword moves release date forward

The game was previously scheduled for later in September and will now launch on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.

Pre-orders are available now for the Standard, Deluxe, and Premium Deluxe editions. Players who pre-order before Sept. 24 will receive Early Adopter Bonuses.

A free demo is also available on PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. It gives players access to an early section of the game and a preview of its sword-focused combat.

Save data from the demo will unlock the Kubi Akari charm as a bonus in the full version.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword marks the return of Capcom’s action series and follows players as they battle supernatural enemies and absorb their souls.
