Netmarble Announces Project EVILBANE, a Dark Fantasy Co-Op Action Game

Netmarble announced Project EVILBANE, a new action game in a dark fantasy world, during IGN Live 2025. Inspired by the Raven series, it focuses on four-player co-op in a war-torn setting battling demonic forces and rival factions. Players complete missions behind enemy lines, impacting a larger conflict. According to their showcase its a Vermintide meets Monster Hunter combat. It offers hybrid melee/ranged combat with adaptability, players can parry, counter, and execute cinematic finishers. However, without hands-on impressions, it’s unclear if the mechanics will feel substantial or just stylish.

Missions have main objectives and optional side tasks, allowing for various approaches such as stealth, brute force, or support. The challenge is whether these choices significantly impact gameplay or offer only minor variations. The "Persistent War" system claims that player actions will shape a global conflict, with more details to be revealed later. The pre-alpha test will be in late 2025.
