Netflix Tease English Dub For New Tekken Movie

Netflix has dropped an English dubbed trailer for their new Tekken movie. The movie will follow many of the characters we have come to know and love in the Tekken franchise. The trailer dropped earlier today and showcased what Netflix has in store for the legendary fighting game. 

The movie has been talked about for a while and was first teased back in June but we now have a release date as the 18th of August. There has been some excitement at the idea of a Tekken animated movie, especially after the success of the Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm series. 

From what was shown in the trailer, the story seems to revolve around the Mishima family, with Heihachi training Jin to become the ultimate warrior. He claimed that Jin would have to let go of his Kazama pacifism and instead embrace the chaos of his Mishima blood. 

We also got to see series favorites like Paul, Xiaoyu, Nina, and King. There was some new blood as well as we saw Leroy make an appearance. 

The reaction to the trailer has seen some positivity with the general emotion being one of hope that the producers will offer up a decent fighting game animated movie. 

Netflix's track record has been hit and miss so far, but there is some optimism that this Tekken movie could be pretty good.
