Mori Toshimichi left from Arc System Works after almost 20 years
Creator of BlazBlue series want to continue working in the gaming industry on new projects

Producer Mori Toshimichi has released a statement announcing his leaving Arc System Works after almost 20 years of work.

He started working with the company during the development of Guilty Gear X as a Picpac employee. After that, Daisuke Ishiwatari invited Mori to become a part of the team starting October 1, 2003. Toshimichi has been developing such titles as Guilty Gear Isuka and Guilty Gear XX Slash. For the second one, he served as the director and creator of Order-Sol character (technically and visually). After that, he created the BlazBlue series and worked on titles like BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, Calamity Trigger Reconstruction, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, and BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle.

In addition to the news about his departure, he spoke a little about plans:

I am leaving Arc System Works and think this event might cause many worries for BlazBlue fans. I truly apologize for this. I'll keep trying to bring games to the fans in some way, shape, or form, and I'm currently trying to do so. Please continue contributing your support.
