The Until Dawn developer has completed the redundancy process it announced in August, affecting staff across multiple departments
More than 70 employees are leaving Supermassive Games following the redundancy consultation announced by the studio in August.
Departing IT and Facilities Director Frank Tindle, who spent 16 years at Supermassive, confirmed his exit and said more than 70 employees across development, art, production, QA, operations, and other departments were leaving alongside him.
Supermassive announced in August that it had begun a consultation that could affect up to 75 positions, saying the cuts were necessary for the company's sustainability. The studio has not announced a final redundancy figure itself.
The cuts are the latest workforce reduction at the developer behind Until Dawn, The Quarry, and The Dark Pictures Anthology. Around 90 positions were affected by layoffs in 2024, followed by another restructuring in 2025. Supermassive has not announced whether the latest departures will affect any projects currently in development.
