Modus Games Lays Off Mane6 Developers

For a bit of background, in 2021, Mane6 ended their publishing partnership with Humble after 4 years of working with them. Before long, it was announced that Maximum Games were acquiring Them's Fightin' Herds and partnering them up with their Modus Games division.

Skip almost two years and Mane6 announces that they are ceasing the development of TFH, and unfortunately, that wouldn't be the end of it. Just in time for holidays, we now learn that Modus has laid off almost the entirety of Mane6.

Reasons for this are not clear, even if there is room for speculation, but given Oreo's follow-up comments, we likely won't hear much more than what we have now. Hopefully the talented devs will be able to continue doing what they love under a different studio, but this news is tragic nonetheless.
