Two-time Capcom Cup winner and back-to-back Evo Japan champion (and Evo Vegas 2025 champion) MenaRD has made a stunning announcement, which sees him move into a role as co-owner of Bandits Gaming.
Mena's Stunning Antecedents
Mena, who is the most successful fighting game player out of the Dominican Republic, has taken a major step in helping to grow the community with this new role. Mena joined Bandits in 2019 and was highly successful with them, winning a Street Fighter League US and World Championship in 2024 before a shock departure later that year. However, Mena continued to participate under the Bandits' aegis at SFL and has remained a part of their activities.
He moved to Falcons, before making another move to Weibo Gaming in 2025. He was at the forefront of Bandits’ 2025 SFL win which will see his team partake in the World Championship again at Capcom Cup 12.
In a statement from Bandits Gaming, they said: “Today marks a historic moment for Bandits Gaming. We're proud to announce that our own MenaRD two-time Capcom Cup World Champion, three-time EVO Champion, and Street Fighter League World Champion, has officially stepped into a co-owner role within the organization.
“From the very beginning, MenaRD has been at the heart of Bandits' rise. Since joining forces in 2019, his journey from star player to head coach and general manager has helped shape our identity, our culture, and our competitive success on the global stage. Now, his leadership expands even further.
“This transition represents more than a title change it reflects our long-term vision of building a sustainable legacy in esports, developing elite talent, and continuing to push Bandits Gaming to the highest level of international competition.”
