Famous gaming YouTuber, Maximilian Dood has teased a Twitch Rivals tournament for Marvel vs Capcom 2 which was released along with several other games in the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics compilation.

He teased this on X (formerly Twitter) and it seems like another attempt to breathe life into the game.

Twitch Rivals has been around since 2018 and it generally incorporates professional players and popular streamers to compete in a game which usually tends to give that game a lot more visibility.

There have been Twitch Rivals tournaments for Killer Instinct, which was a huge deal when it happened and was also championed by Maximilian. Max, a well-known MVC2 fan, is at it again, and from the responses so far, it seems to have generated quite a bit of buzz.

It will kick off from the 6th of October 2024.
