Capcom has announced that Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection will be receiving an update. They released a trailer for the update, announcing that it will go live on the 16th of April 2025.

Some of the changes include new artwork for several games, while also incorporating versus offline fighting, which will enable players to battle friends and family with no restrictions regarding network. Some other quality of life changes, including resolution changes and menu additions.

The news has been well received by fans who aren't used to having updates to old games or fighting collections. It all points to a greater level of communication with the community, and this has led to better relations between devs and fans.
