Marvel Tokon Goes Offline for Maintenance to Address PC Issues

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has announced a maintenance period to address some of the game's PC issues.

Marvel Tokon is the 4v4 tag fighter from Arc System Works, the makers of Guilty Gear -STRIVE-, and is the first Marvel fighting game the FGC has gotten in a while. After three betas, the game was finally released on August 6, 2026.

Unfortunately, it has been plagued with issues since launch, especially on PC, with many fans complaining about frame drops, crashes, and other performance issues. Things really came to a head when major FGC content creator Maximilian Dood uninstalled the game on PC due to several issues.

This has led to a significant dip in Tokon's player count and raised concerns that the game might not get off to the start its developers had hoped for.

Coupled with the game's unavailability in more than 100 countries around the world, it seems things are looking rather tough for Marvel Tokon.

To that end, the developers have taken the game offline for maintenance. Players will still be able to play the game, but they will not be able to access any online functionality. According to the developers, the maintenance will help address some of the PC issues.

Their tweet reads:

"Tōkon Warriors! MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls will be temporarily taken offline for maintenance starting today at 10PM JST / 6AM PT / 1PM UTC.

"The maintenance end time is approximately 12AM JST / 8AM PT / 3PM UTC.

"This update includes PC performance and stability improvements, including reduced lag and fixes for frame drops.

"Please ensure you have finished any active matches before the maintenance begins. Thank you for your patience!"

It is hoped that when the game returns, it will be in a much better state.
