And it's shaping up to be one of the most demanding fighting games on the market.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has finally revealed their PC system requirements, and it's not looking great for people who are used to fighting games accomodating older hardware.
In both cases it will require:
- Windows 11 (as Windows 10 is no longer supported)
- 16GB of RAM
As for CPU and GPU, the minimum is:
- CPU: Intel Core I5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 6GB / AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT 8GB
While the maximum is:
- CPU: Intel Core I7-8700 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 8GB / AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB
The relatively high GPU requirement stands out quite a bit here. Fighting games generally aim for something less demanding to ensure they run at a stable 60fps, which is wital for not just regular gameplay but properly functioning netcode.
At a glance, Marvel Tokon is not doing anything especially impressive with its visuals, especially not compared to its less demanding peers. With that in mind, the official requirements are often not too precise, and the game does potentially run fine on weaker hardware.
Better safe than sorry, however. So if you're worried about how well the game might run on your system, try to upcoming open beta, or check some tech and user reviews once the game comes out.
