Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Offers a Deeper Look at Iron Man's Kit
Marvel Rivals players might feel surprisingly at home with his tools.

Marvel Tokon is getting ever closer, and it seems that instead of team trailers, we now get a rapid fire release of various character guides that explain what you can expect from them in terms of gameplay and playstyle.

This week it's about Iron Man, easily one of the most recognisable Marvel characters, and a staple of the Marvel vs Capcom fighting games, which gives a bit of extra weight to his presence in Marvel Tokon.

If you're a new player who tried Marvel Rivals but never played a fighting game, you might actually find his kit to be a little familiar.

Marvel Tokon presents a fairly versatile version of Iron Man. He has some serious zoning capabilities with rapid fire repulsor shots that can be angled in different ways, as well as the classic chest beam. The smart rockets make an appearance as well. They're similar in function to pulsar shots, but they trade speed for mobility, allowing you to take action while rockets are moving.

However, he has a few tools for close to mid-range fighting as well. Pulsar blast has quite a bit of range and can knock enemies up at different angles, and his Iron Avenger is a gap closer attack that he can seemingly make safe if it isn't already. With a DP usable both on the ground and in the air, he shouldn't be too bad on defense either.

What ties it all together is the Free Flight ability. Iron Man will use his boosters to move around in the air, and you can use Skill Guage to cancel many of his moves into flight. As such you get both versatility of his attack and enough mobility to make them most any given situation.
