Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Announces Final Open Beta
You'll get a chance to check out the game next week, from July 24 to 26.

With the release date set for August 6, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is having it's final open beta, and for the first time they're actually testing it on more than PlayStation.

To announce this, Sony released a new trailer that goes over all the content that you can expect from the Open Beta.

Which includes:

  • 15 playable characters (out of total 20)
  • 6 stages
  • The now staple avatar lobby
  • Training mode
  • Casual and Ranked online modes
  • Offline VS, including an option to fight vs CPU
  • First 3 chapters of the game's story focused "Episode Mode"

All this will be available from July 24 to 26 on PS5, Steam, and Epic.

As a reminder, the game is still unavailable in over 100 countries due to the PlayStation Network requirement, and as the trailer points out, you will be forced to make a PSN account if you want to play a game that never required it.

Since Sony valued promotion of their struggling console over the game's quality, it might result in the PC release coming out with unexpected bugs and other issues that ideally could've been spotted during prior beta tests, which were only available on PS5.

This open beta is very much a beta in name only, since the gap between it and the game's release is far too short to fix anything major. Instead, it's just a common way to put out the time limited demo and get people more excited for the full release.
