Marvel Tokon Continues to Respond to Feedback by Speeding Up The Game
The wall stays on.

The opinions are somewhat split on Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. After the closed beta tests, a lot of players walked away with an impression that for a tag fighter, Marvel Tokon is not really fast enough and doesn't do as much as it could with the tag system.

Developers quite rapidly began to iterate to fix these issues. One changes we already know about is the faster character tagging, and more active tag options in combos and block strings that used to be impossible, but are now done with some use of meter.

On their X account, Marvel Tokon has also now showed off adjustments to one of the main pace killers, the wall transitions. These have already caught some criticism in Strive, but was gradually reigned in to suit that game.

For Marvel Tokon, they are primarily targeting the speed issue and trying to minimize the amount of time when you don't have control. For this reason, Super Skills will no longer lead to wall breaks.

There is still a lot more to see when it comes to the changes, and we'll get a better glimpse at the ARC World Tour demo.

However, this is already an extremely promising showcase. Despite only having a few closed betas, the game already changed in a tangible, meaningful way. Even though FGC tends to games to stay very stable and consistent, it's going to be supremely important to get things right early on.
