Marvel Rivals: Fighting Souls Shows off Ghost Rider's Kit
Axl players should be quite happy.

The past weekend Marvel Tokon shared a new starter guide, this time for Ghost Rider.

Much like Star-Lord, that's another character who had a decent comic book presence, but then really exploded in popularity once adaptations came out and everyone thought "hey, a cursed skeleton biker who is always on fire is pretty cool."

Though in this case we're dealing with a different iteration of the character. Robbie Reyes swaps out the bike for a sick Dodge Charger (though in this case made to look legally distinct), and his design in general is a bit more modern compared to Johnny Blaze that most people are familiar with.

Ghost Rider will be one of the few characters who have their own special mechanics. On top of the usual systems, he has something similar to Robo-Ky's heat meter, in this case called "Vengeance Gauge."

The premise is simple, you have 3 segments on the gauge, each one is smaller than the last, and each one will make your specials stronger by doing more damage or gaining new properties. The same way, certain moves will either fill or deplete the gauge.

With kusarigama – or at least a version of it – being his main weapon, he's a bit of a longer range character and much of his kit has some focus on area control. Obviously you have the natural range on the chains, including a special that has potential high/low mix, but he also gets a fireball that can be used in the air, a ground AOE attack that covers 3 different ranges, and a fire breathing attack.

He also has a command grab that can help to deplete the gauge, and it can travel quite some distance, which will undoubtedly force a lot of people to improve their reactions.
