Mai Mania Is Here As Mai Shiranui Joins Street Fighter 6

The latest Street Fighter 6 character, Mai Shiranui, has joined the cast of the game to a lot of fanfare as she looks incredibly impressive and might become one of the top characters in the game. 

Mai Shiranui is a character originally from King of Fighters and Fatal Fury and is a guest in Street Fighter 6, the first time such a thing is happening with a Street Fighter game. 

In her arcade story, she receives a letter from Andy Bogard, her partner, who explains that he had business to attend to. She promptly deduces that he must be in Metro City and makes her way there and while there starts to look out for the Pao Pao Cafe in hopes of getting information about Andy's whereabouts there. She meets Juri and in typical Street Fighter style, they immediately get into a fight. 

As for the end, Mai finds herself at Chanko House Edomon, the outfit belonging to E. Honda. Due to a mix-up, she finds herself as a source of entertainment and is confused as to the situation, stating that she was not at Pao Pao Cafe which E. Honda simply laughs off. 

In terms of her lore, the biggest tidbit seems to be that Mai and Andy are canonically married as was shown off in one of her illustrations which also featured most of the Street Fighter cast including Chun li, Cammy, Marisa, Sakura, and many others. 

Mai has all the standard stuff like combo trials and she can also now be interacted with in the World Tour mode. Players are already testing her out to see how she works and how she plays and the early call seems to be that she is a great character in general. 

We will soon get to know more about the character and her place in the meta and see if she will indeed challenge the top 5 characters in the game right now.
