The former Evo Champion's spot will go to someone else
There will now be two spots in the last chance qualifier at the ARC World Tour taking place this weekend.
This is because, Leffen, the Swedish player, is unable to make it after much trying and effort. He released a statement regarding this saying the 'dream is dead'
ARC World Tour responded saying that this opens up a spot for someone else.
"Leffen is unable to participate in GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- at the ARC WORLD TOUR FINALS 2024. In accordance with tournament rules, Leffen's qualification slot will be moved to an LCQ slot. As such, GGST will have two LCQ slots, and the top two players will advance to the main tournament. "
There are 112 entrants into the LCQ for Guilty Gear -STRIVE- and two of those will make their way to the group stage of the Finals.
The draw for the groups has been made with 14 of the 16 players in the tournament already sorted. Last year's winner, Verix, has been drawn in group A along with Slash, Jonathan Tene and one of the LCQ winners.

An unfortunate loss, but it will make the losers' final of the LCQ a very fascinating watch and might take a little away from the magic of the grand final.
But, the AWT is sure to bring some excellent play and exciting moments.
