Leffen Contemplates Quitting Super Smash Bros. Melee
The Evo champion is considering if this could be his last ride.

Two-time Evo champion, Leffen, is contemplating his retirement from Super Smash Bros. Melee.

He made this clear in a series of tweets which he posted after crashing out of the Genesis X Melee tournament losing to Cody Schwab and Zain, two of the best players in the world.

According to Leffen, he feels like there are a lot of obstacles in the way of his career and this has led to intense frustration and introspection on his part.

Leffen has dabbled in several  games including Street Fighter 6 and Guilty Gear -STRIVE- where he won Evo last year. His interest in several games seems to have affected his ability to truly dominate in one title.

In his tweets, Leffen said that he is considering dropping Melee and is unlikely to come back to it next year as Project L will be released and he will not be making the mistake of dabbling in too many games at the expense of being able to focus on one and excel at it.

Leffen also mentioned financial considerations when it came to dropping Melee as the game just isn't a financially sustainable outlet for a pro player.
