Killer Instinct Announces XP Event
Players have a great chance to level up

Killer Instinct is pushing hard with their revival and to that end have announced a new XP event which will last over the weekend and give players a chance to level up their characters.

In a thread posted on X, Killer Instinct explained that the XP event will enable players of the KI Anniversary Edition to get a x3.0 XP boost while those playing the free base game get x2.0 XP. These bonuses are stackable with regularr XP boosters.

This is to encourage players to hop on the game and get into the new 3.11.15 patch of the game which offers a bunch of new things including some character adjustments and even a new stage, Debug Void.

For older players who might have already leveled up their characters to level 50, the new patch has increased the character and player level to 65, meaning that there is a grind available for everyone.

The patch notes for Killer Instinct 3.11.15 are available and contain quite a bit. Some of this was dissected by James Goddard on the Killer Instinct Anniversary edition stream.

Killer Instinct now features full crossplay for ranked and is in as good shape as ever.

Killer Instinct was first released in 1994 and was a classic of that fighting game era. The new Killer Instinct was released in 2013 and has found a way to survive all these years still bringing in new fans and entertaining old.
