Killer Instinct is receiving a 10th anniversary update and the first of the major changes is a new edition of paid user with the base game going free.
Killer Instinct and its development team have come out to bring fans a new update to the game to celebrate ten years since the game's 2013 release, and it's been five years since its last major balance change update. Joining the team on stream to discuss the changes made was well-known FGC commentator Sajam.
The first piece of news is a brand new look to the game, with a new throwback logo, new editions, and now the Base KI game is Free to Play:
Owners of KI Definitive Edition on Xbox, or the Steam Edition of the game will receive a free upgrade to the new Anniversary Edition of the game. There are also a handful of visual improvements to the UI and menus for the game. For Gamepass users, they will also be automatically moved to the anniversary edition.
