Justin Wong Takes Fans Behind the Scenes of the Street Fighter Movie
The movie looks like it will lean into the campy elements that made the 1994 version a cult classic and we love it!

FGC legend and shoutcaster Justin Wong has taken fans behind the scenes to give us a glimpse of what is to come with the upcoming Street Fighter movie.

A little while ago, it was revealed that Justin Wong, Michael Mendoza (IFCYipes), and Maximilian Dood were playing the roles of extras in the movie. The role saw them play inmates in a prison where both Ken and Ryu will be in the movie.

Wong released “I WENT AND FILMED AT THE STREET FIGHTER MOVIE SET!!”, a video in which he highlights his involvement in the movie, starting with how he got the gig in the first place. He got a call from Capcom while in Japan, which eventually led to some actual footage of him and Yipes acting out their roles.

Along with all that, he also showed some interactions with Noah Centineo, the actor who plays Ken. He apparently taught him how to throw a Hadoken and do a Tatsu on the arcade cabinet on set.

Wong also showed off some of the memorabilia that was available on the set for the actors. On top of all that, he purposely asked to get a fake “37” tattoo, which is a reference to Evo Moment 37, an iconic incident that really shot the FGC into the mainstream limelight.

Wong, who was the one on the receiving end of Daigo’s parry, has been a good sport about it even after almost 20 years of being made the butt of the joke.

The video didn’t give us many hints as to what happens in the movie beyond what we already know, and now we can wait to see it when it releases in theatres in about two weeks.
