Justin Wong Joins Basilisk Esports
The 8-time Evo winner is taking a bold new step

Multiple Evo winner and one of the people considered as the best fighting game player ever in existence, Justin Wong, has announced that he is joining a new team.

Justin, who is a content creator, internet personality, and esports caster, has been a busy man recently, and among his many hats, has now put on that of team manager for Basilisk. Basilisk is a science esports team that prides itself on tackling the most challenging games and bridging the gap between science and gaming.

In their announcement, Basilisk confirmed that they will be bringing on Justin as a manager of sorts who will help them shape and recruit for their FGC unit.

In his announcement video, Justin explained that as with a lot of things, fighting games are deeply mathematical in nature, especially when considering things like frame data. He also clarified his role, stating that he will be looking out for talented individuals with a curious mind and the fortitude to make it in the world of esports.

Basilisk will be making their first foray into fighting games after excelling in other areas, especially difficult games like Starcraft II, Chess, and Kerble.

It is commonly noted that fighting games are some of the most technical games, especially as one goes deeper into it. There's an appreciation of space, frame data, and several psychological battles when two players face off against one another.

As Justin takes on this role, the sort of players that start coming in will give us a bigger clue as to what Basilisk will be all about in the FGC.
