Brazilian FGC veteran JUNINHO-RAS has officially parted ways with 2Game Esports.
The departure marks the end of a significant chapter for 2Game’s fighting game division, with JUNINHO having been one of the cornerstones of the organisation since its inception.
JUNINHO-RAS As A Foundation for 2Game
2Game Esports have risen to prominence in recent years, establishing themselves as the biggest FGC organisation in Brazil. Their stock has continued to rise thanks to strong performances in Street Fighter League US and the rapid emergence of their prodigy Blaz, whom they signed in 2024.
JUNINHO-RAS was a foundational member of the division and effectively served as its leader, a steady presence and role model for younger players coming through the ranks. A long-time competitor, he played a key role in bringing the Brazilian scene to global attention and was a regular fixture at Capcom Cup over the past few years.
He will not be competing at this year’s Capcom Cup, with Not Pedro representing Brazil instead.
To mark his departure, 2Game released a short tribute video for JUNINHO-RAS, accompanied by a heartfelt message:
“Today we bid farewell not just to a player, but to a chapter of our story.
In 2024, you were the first step of 2GAME FGC and the beginning of a dream.
From the announcement, to the stages in Japan and Las Vegas, you took our name to the world.Every cycle has its time. Some begin with courage and end with gratitude.
Yours here was giant!Thank you for everything, @JuninhoRas”
