JP's Costume is Trash! - iDom, Other Creators React to SF6's Outfit 3

The FGC has reacted to the newest outfits for Street Fighter 6 characters and some of the biggest names have spoken

The Street Fighter 6 outfit 3 has created quite a buzz around the community as fans, creators and players have reacted to the new costumes for each character.

Generally, the reception for the outfits has been really positive, but then it wouldn't be the FGC without some hot takes that not everyone might agree with. One of such takes came from Capcom Cup 2019 winner, iDom who stated in no uncertain terms that JP had the worst outfit 3 in the entire game. In a video he put out on his YouTube where he reviewed the ouutfits, iDom claimed that JP looked horrible while also wondering if the physics of the game would support Marisa's look.

He was also not as impressed as others by Manon's costume which he said he didn't get.

Other notable creators such as Brian_F and Rooflemonger also reacted to the costumes which they loved universally. Brian_F was particularly impressed with the hair physics for Guile, Kimberly, and Lily which he said was really good. He also noted that in SFV there were some costumes that looked weird because the characters were carrying out actions and motions that weren't in line with what they had on. For instance Bison would usually take off his hat and straighten his hair. So when he had a costume where he was without his hat, he would still do the win animation which looked weird since there was nothing there.

Rooflemonger said that the costumes were a great way to keep the game going since fans are typically suckers for cosmetic accessories for characters.

All the creators agreed that Juri's costume, while not the best, was certainly going to be iconic and would make Capcom a decent amount of money.

The costumes for the 18-man launch roster will be available from the 1st of December 2023.
