John Choi Is the last Evo Hall of Fame Inductee For the Year

John Choi, an Evo winner and one of America's greatest Street Fighter players, will be the third inductee into the Evo Hall of Fame for 2025. 

He joins Tokido and Alex Valle for this prestigious honor 

In his tribute video, Choi talked about his rise in the gaming scene and how arcade culture shaped him. He mentioned the legendary culture of going from turf to turf, trying to beat the best person there and using that to boost his reputation in the game. 

Choi has Evo Championships in Street Fighter II from 2008 and Capcom vs SNK also in 2008. He also had multiple top 3 finishes losing to legends like Tokido, Daigo, and Nuki. 

He still dabbles in competing but has slowed down what has been an illustrious career. 

The Evo Awards will be held on the 15th of February 2025.
